Some thoughts on the next VintaCon

Okay, some of the esteemed die hards in our group have requested a location close to home.  With not so much emphasis on the quantity of wineries, but the quality of the experience.
Since kproche posted his Monterey Bay Aquarium trip, I got to thinking.
Maybe it is time to put Monterey back on the table.
Wineries on Friday.
Aquarium Trip on Saturday.
A nice dinner to follow the MBA.
Scout out some wineries before leaving on Sunday.

I had offered this up as a possibility with Carmel as the location  for #3 (it's so beautiful ~ and expensive), but if we can do this for a reasonable amount, would it be worth doing?
Mind you, all of your money goes to the van rental, it is a hunka chunka change.  I know that some of you are MBA members, so that part may be a breeze.
What are your thoughts?

I live in Monterey and am happy to reccomend lodging, or any other information you might need.

I haven't tried it, but they have something now called 'the wine trolly' which takes you from downtown out to various wineries in Carmel Valley and back again.

Thank you! That's wonderful. A group of members will be together in the next few days, so we will discuss this option further! Does the trolly operate on Fridays?

Monterey sounds like a good location to John and I. Hopefully we won't be horribly overscheduled next October (or whenever you decide to do it).
